Kansas Action Network (KAN - http://ksactionnet.org/index.htm) is seeking a campaign organizer:
Kansas Action Network, a coalition advocating workers' rights and social justice, seeks a skilled organizer to staff a tri-city campaign to bring the local minimum wage to the federal level. Will work closely with KAN's board. Must have initiative and persistence; strong interpersonal, communication and public presentation skills; substantial relevant experience; grant writing and fundraising skills; city-to-city mobility in eastern Kansas and willingness to stay overnight in
the three campaign locales.
Strongly preferred: minimum wage and Spanish-language skills; advanced education in a relevant field; internet and computer skills.
Pay: $2,500 per month on a contract basis, initially for three months (starting 4/23/07) but renewable for a year or more.
